HEY FLICKERS!
Sorry for leaving you all hangin' for so long. It's been a rough few months for all involved, and we've had our share of drama here at the Flicknife Officers. Our Glorious Leader, The Frenchie, messed up his foot and was bouncing in and out of hospital, barely able to walk for months, which slowed things down a touch. But we've got him a little scooter now, so he's back to being an absolute menace. Good Times! So, is anyone else a little disappointed that the eclipse didn't give us all magical powers? I feel a little cheated, myself. All that coverage in the media, social media frothing at the keyboard because the end times were here. Personally, I didn't it realize it WAS an eclipse. When it started getting a little dark in the afternoon, I just figured it was business as usual for the U.K... Ah well, apparently the rapture is coming, at the end of this month, so we'll see if that's any more fun. Assuming the world DOESN'T end, we've got some very fun releases coming up, see if anything here tickles your ear-box.
For those who missed it, we have an excellent new single from Redhead called 'Inside My Head' b/w 'Sun Will Rise Again' (FLSD23128). This is a track no good rocker can do without. Described as "If Guns N Roses made an album with Bon Jovi" by Rolling Stone Magazine. Redhead are a band that NEED to be heard, by anyone craving a good hit of solid ROCK. Times are hard. We all know this. Everything is more expensive, smaller, and worse quality. You know what is cheaper, bigger, and only gets better with time? Our selection on Bandcamp! And speaking of EPIC. Did you know, a very special anniversary is coming up? Yup, that's right, this April it'll be the 40th anniversary of the release of The Karate Kid! Wax on, you crazy diamonds.

It turns out, this April is ALSO the ten year anniversary of our collaboration with Flicknife Mainstays, and all round great people ELECTRIC CAKE SALAD ! They're the best around, no one's ever going to keep them down. To celebrate, we're releasing something a little bit special: 'The Tenth Anniversary Logbook' (FLAN24001). A very special package, with an extremely limited run, each edition contains a CD, a poster and a beautiful, numbered card, designed by Stevo Diavolo-Jonesy himself, and the whole thing will drop in your laps, in a see-through wallet.

And that's all there is for this blog, folks. I hope it was worth the wait, and while I'd love to say the wait will be shorter for the next one, we all know there's a good chance it won't be. Life is pretty hectic right now, for us all, and there are a few major events coming up which could well spell doom for our species. But, as always, our advice remains the same: No matter what terrors and tribulations life throws at us, we can always pull through as long as we stick together. Don't let the silly little differences distract us from the silly big similarities, and remember that we're all just balls of wrinkly jelly, piloting skeletons on a rock, hurtling through space. Life is already absurd, so there's no need to make it harder by being a dick.

Sorry it's been a while, life is pretty crazy right now!
It's funny, all those centuries back when I said I wanted to get a job in a creative industry, people always thought I was mad. They're such risky jobs, they would say. Tiny chance you'll ever actually be able to support yourself, huge amounts of competition etc etc etc.

It's that time of year, known by most as the *end* of the year, when we're inclined to look back and consider the events of the past 12 months.
Overall, there were many and varied explosive world changing events this year. Referendums, Impeachments...truly life changing stuff.
But we're not going to talk about that. It's boring and depressing. Let's talk about music...
