This is the second album from JJ but the first with Joey Stout. JJ McCabe was, at the age of 16, the lead singer of up-and-coming West Coast band Kinderhook Creek (They supported The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Poco, etc). The band was also Chuck Berry's backing band on several occasions. JJ's first paying gig was to teach John Kennedy Jr to play guitar! After releasing 'Presenting…' (produced by James 'Bonzai' Caruso, a 5 times Grammy Winner for production: Madonna, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Clapton, Super Heavy, Mary J.Blige and more) JJ teamed up with Joey Stout, a talented multi-instrumentalist, who was an engineer at Kajem Studios and worked with Cinderella, Doro Pesch, Bobby Rydell, Teddy Pendergrast and Russian rockers Gorky Park. Joey started his own recording studio, Digital Dog Studios, in 1993 and is still going strong, recording and producing hundreds of projects. Aside from his own productions he worked with Melba Moore, gospel great David Peaston and the GAP Band's Ronnie Wilson. Live, he has mixed for BB King, Johnny and Edgar Winter, Kansas, Rick Derringer, Blues Traveler, America, Robert Cray, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Smokey Robinson and Shemeka Copeland. Together, these two legends have recorded one of the best albums we have had the pleasure to be associated with: 'The Red Devil Diaries'. There's nothing else to say but listen to that fantastic album.
